The numbers are stacked in your favour with Schoeller Arca Systems new ‘Clever Move’ Foldable Distribution Container

Europe’s leading Returnable Transit Packaging manufacturer,  Schoeller Arca Systems Ltd have developed their range of Prelog folding design distribution containers to include the Clever Move Box ‘Prelog CMB 6440’. This new development was designed for a large French sportswear retailer to replace their expensive one trip cardboard packaging units.

With an external footprint of 600 x 400 x 400mm and being straight walled it boasts an impressive 80 litre capacity and with a clever integrated lid design that folds flush to the side wall resulting in zero lid flare when the lids are open. On an outbound journey the lids would be closed allowing containers to be stacked on top of each other and for high value goods the box can be sealed. With 5 boxes on a layer on a standard UK pallet and stacked 5 high to a height of 2 metres, a volumetric load of 2,000 litres can be distributed per pallet space. Now compare that with its nearest rival the 80 litre stack and nest attached lid distribution box which has an oversized external footprint of 710 x 460 x 368mm and delivers only a 1,600 litre capacity load, Schoeller Arca’s CMB 6440 provides an extra 10,400 litres within the same vehicle space.

If you think that is impressive now look at the return ratios. Using the same sized pallet, 120 CMB’s can be returned compared to 84 of the traditional attached lid containers. This means that on the same vehicle 3,120 CMB’s can be returned compared to 2,184 traditional ALC’s – a 30% increase. This is primarily due to the folded height of 76mm and return ratio of 5.9: 1 when folded and stacked. The CMB has an integrated label holder on one short side and an area for another label holder or an adhesive label on the opposite short side. Security seals are supplied in packs of 200.
