Empirica WMS is a modular, multi-industry suite, offering multi-depot capability for own account or shared user operation. It supports screen or voice-directed RF technology and has in-built interface tools to provide seamless, transparent supply chain connectivity.
Empirica WMS offers two entry levels to meet the needs of either developing or advanced warehouse operation. The full Empirica WMS is aimed at larger or multi-site logistics functions, while the entry level Empirica Lite system will appeal to growing operations. Both levels are RF enabled for key movement and activity types. Empirica Lite also has specialized RF options which give smaller warehouses freedom to perform tasks ‘on the hoof’, reduce supervisory input and facilitate a leaner operation.
Users of the full Empirica system will benefit from the advanced features of Task-RF, a dynamic task management module, which offers extensive WMS functionality via mobile RF and voice data terminals. Task-RF supports the use of this equipment in any combination including retained paper-based instruction for selected operations.
The Empirica suite contains a range of complementary modules for interfacing, reporting and real time mobile data. IXact is a development tool for creating interfaces between WMS and external applications Additional modules address specialist reporting needs such as labour targeting and forecasting, remote web access, KPI analysis and real-time dashboard tools.
Mobile application needs are provided by Empirica Mobile, a development tool which employs unique technology to develop user friendly mobile solutions for logistics or remote workforces. These solutions utilise all forms of communications technology including WLAN 802.11, GSM, GPRS, CDMA and 3G to provide cost effective real time communication between host systems and remote mobile workers.
