Vigo’s solution, which is a real time web-based system, allows consignments to be traced, tracking right through the supply chain to the point of delivery. Jobs are shown in their planned order. Simple buttons are finger depressed by the driver to indicate that they have arrived, completed the job and departed. Functionality is available to photograph and/or scan the barcode at point of delivery to ensure that the right load has been delivered.
Direct capture of signatures is supported, with all information being transmitted back to the main system immediately, or if there is no GPRS signal, as soon as the equipment comes back into range. POD Signatures are available on a Vigo supplied website almost immediately.
Using In-cab equipment enables Vigo to utilise satellites to show the position of every vehicle and the status of the job on that vehicle. Vigo also offers, online order entry, pricing, load planning, scanning, routing to postcodes/zones, warehouse solutions, comprehensive track and trace, storage and comprehensive KPI information and will be available to speak to you about your requirements during Logistics Link North.
